In 1897, C.C. Filson created the Filson brand to outfit frontiersmen on the hunt for gold in the cold, rugged terrain of the Klondike region. Filson sold general dry goods like clothing, footwear, camping equipment and bags that would withstand the harsh conditions of their work. Today, Filson continues to provide such products -- most notably their diverse iconic line of luggage made from premium canvas.
